With NPR Music based in Washington D.C., hometown hero GoldLink took the opportunity to bring the whole family together for his ‘Tiny Desk Concert.’
The rapper dived into his three projects The God Complex, And After That, We Didn’t Talk and At What Cost, performing four tracks: “Bedtime Story,” “Dark Skin Women,” “Some Girl” and “Pray Everyday (Survivor’s Guilt).” The set was soulful as hell, supported by a drummer, keyboardist, violinist, vocalists and guitarists.
“Thank y’all for being here,” GoldLink said. “It’s mad overwhelming lowkey.”
Are you ready for more Curren$y music this week? After going on a tear with releases the past few days, he links back up with Harry Fraud on “Deadstock,” a track that could have not made the cut on past projects the two worked together. Over the course of the past week, we’ve gotten enough material to cook up a nice little project from Spitta, so it’ll be interesting to see how much more he’d put out for fans.
