To go with today’s release of Redemption, Jay Rock is sharing a new video for his gritty album opener, “The Bloodiest.”
Directed by Colin Tilley (Kendrick Lamar’s “Alright” and “These Walls”), the new video involves the Watts rapper being held a gunpoint, overlooking a surgical theater, paying respects at an inside graveyard and getting caught in a drive-by shooting by police officers. It’s a movie.
Redemption is out now featuring J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, SZA and Jeremih.
Are you ready for more Curren$y music this week? After going on a tear with releases the past few days, he links back up with Harry Fraud on “Deadstock,” a track that could have not made the cut on past projects the two worked together. Over the course of the past week, we’ve gotten enough material to cook up a nice little project from Spitta, so it’ll be interesting to see how much more he’d put out for fans.
