Russia Continues World Cup Form with 3-1 Win Over Egypt

The biggest news from this Russia vs. Egypt game today was the fact  Mo Salah was fit to play and would be starting for the Egyptian national team. He was actually fit to play last game, but the team chose to hold him out in risk of further injury. Unfortunately, they lost against Uruguay in their opening game. This was a must-win for Egypt to have any chance to advance in Group A. Unfortunately, they came up short against high-scoring Russia, who  put up five goals against Saudi Arabia  in the World Cup opener. It was a sloppy game in the first half as both teams were all over the place and it wasn’t until the second half that the goals started pouring in. Egypt opened up the scoring inadvertedly, thanks to  Ahmed Fathi , who had an own goal in the 47th minute. A deflection off his knee managed to go into the bottom corner of the net past the keeper even after he dove to try to stop it. It deflated the team, considering their captain was the one with the blunder. Once t

Chris Paul Is Reportedly Telling People that LeBron James Is Going to L.A.

The speculation surrounding   LeBron James   and his offseason moves has been at an all-time high. The odds, now, favor the   Los Angeles Lakers   who have the biggest chance of landing the king’s services moving forward. Though Stephen A. Smith likes to say outlandish shit sometimes, he was the one to break news about LBJ going to the Miami and one of the first to say he was going back to Cleveland. For this reasoning, we take what he’s saying with a grain of salt and some truth. According to his  podcast , SAS mentions that one of LeBron’s good buddies is already putting out the word about what he’s going to do this summer. “Chris Paul is telling folks LeBron ain’t trying to come to Houston, he wants to be in L.A. These are things I am getting through the grapevine. Chris Paul is saying LeBron wants to be in L.A.” He also says that  Paul George  may not actually come to the Lakers this offseason and could stay in OKC when it’s all said and done. Would James play with a y

DJ Whoo Kid – NY Shit (feat. Raekwon & Young Buck)

You don’t have to be from the city that never sleeps to be on your “NY Shit” because one of the artists featured on the new DJ Whoo Kid is from out of town. With Raekwon representing Staten Island, Young Buck is from Nashville, yet has traveled to the Big Apple a few times to know what time it is. The two spit about those cross-borough street tales over a grimey beat.

Tamia – Leave It Smokin’

With the emergence of R&B the past year or two, everyone has been coming out of the woodwork. Veteran singer  Tamia  is one of these artists making a comeback and she’s got a dope single with “ Leave It Smokin .” The  Salaam Remi -produced record certainly has that throwback vibe to it, but that’s what’s hot right now. In the video, Tamia shows up to perform the track for a crowd, while scenes of couple goals and people vibing to the record appear as well. The video caters more to older folks, but the song is still hot enough to overcome that.

The Real Story on Kyrie Irving’s Fallout with The Celtics

Less than a month ago, the Boston Celtics were in a serious push to make their first NBA Finals in a decade. The team came just one game shy of making the big stage; as they unfortunately lost to King James the Cleveland Cavaliers. However, after being on the bench for multiple games, team captain,  Kyrie Irving  was mysteriously missing from game 7 of the series at home. Reports revealed that  Kyrie needed an immediate minor nasal surgery  for his deviated septum. Well, this raised a few eyebrows across the sports world, which many believed Kyrie was jealous of his fellow teammates making it to the finals without him. While we believe this wasn’t the case, Danny Ainge has created an uncomfortable situation for the team heading forward into 2019. Less than a weeks ago, Kyrie held a very-dry press conference with Boston media, where  he revealed he had no desire to sign a contract extension this summer . He said that inking a contract before he’s eligible for a super-max next s

JAY Z Is Now President of Basketball Operations at PUMA

PUMA is making quite the splash, as they relaunch their basketball division for 2018 and beyond, not only signing some of the biggest prospects coming out of the NBA Draft, but naming a huge rap star as head of basketball operations. To go along with signings like  DeAndre Ayton ,  Marvin Bagley III , and  Zhaire Smith ,  JAY Z  will also be the president of the division. Harry Kane Scores Header in Stoppage Time As England Beats Tunisia

In a game where the mosquitoes were swarming the pitch, it was  Harry Kane who plagued the Tunisian national team in today’s Group G match. England came out attacking from the start, giving Tunisia headaches with some of their through ball’s and shots on target. The Englishmen could not capitalize. That is until the 10th minute when a corner kick led to a  John Stones  header, ridiculous save by  Mouez Hassen  and rebound from Kane gave England the 1-0 lead.

Bump J – Foe Phones

We’re glad Bump J is back on the music side of things after being away for an extended period of time. He’s been coming with some hard records lately and it’s very apparent on “Foe Phones.” Backed by thumping production by Cardo, Bump breaks down those street tales and brings the OG experience to the record by detailing some of the shit he’s seen and survived through. Just wait until the beat drops. Shit goes hard. I Don’t Feel Rehabilitated is set to drop on June 20.

Belgium Cruises Past Panama in 3-0 World Cup Win

It took 47 minutes for the Belgium national team to break through the score, but once they did, it was lights out for Panama. The Panamanians gave it all they had in the first half, holding off all of the chances that Belgium created against them.  Eden Hazard  and  Kevin De Bruyne  had a few opportunities that could have turned into goals. But only two minutes after the second half started,  Dries Mertens  volley’d a shot to the top corner of the net, beating  Jaime Penedo  with the dive. Then  Romelo Lukaku  put the nail in the coffin. He scored a magnificent header in the 69th minutes thanks to a De Bruyne cross and in the 75th minute when Hazard gave him a beautiful through ball that saw him flick the blooper over the Panamanian keeper for his second score of the game.

Watch Khalid’s ‘Tiny Desk Concert’

Khalid  dominated 2017 with his debut album, and has since then been picking up awards, touring and doing big features. Now, it was time to reflect on how far he’s come with an appearance on NPR Music’s ‘Tiny Desk Concert’ series. “I’m just so glad that I got the courage and you know, I chased after my dreams and I started making music because it led to something like this, which is jut so beautiful and so amazing,” Khalid said. For the intimate performance, he was joined by just acoustic guitarist Jef Villaluna, and performed three songs from his American Teen album: “Young Dumb & Broke,” “Location” and “Saved.”

Common Shares Thoughts on ‘Everything Is Love’ After JAY-Z References

JAY-Z  notably references  Common  a couple of times on his  Everything Is Love album with Beyoncé. Those include lyrics from Common’s “The Light” on “713” and Erykah Badu’s “Love of My Life (An Ode to Hip-Hop)” on “LOVEHAPPY.” Now, Common has shared his thoughts on the album. “That album is dope!” he says. “I love that shit!” He also comments on the idea of making an album with a significant other. “What’s the matter with that man? It’s creativity, it’s love,” he continued. “That album right there is dope man, that’s one of my favorite albums of this year, point blank.” Check out the clip below.

Jhené Aiko – Frequency (Live)

TRIP had some great records, but one of the most beautiful ones was Jhené Aiko‘s “Frequency.” While we hope she releases a video for the song, for now, this live studio jam session is enough. Not only is it an extended version of the track, but the piano fits perfect with the gorgeous melody, as she sings it alone in the studio. She’s just releasing those frequencies.

Cosmo’s Midnight – Where U Been (feat. Boogie)

Shady Records’ Boogie has teamed up with Sydney duo Cosmo’s Midnight on a new track called “Where U Been.” “Lord forgive me, I swear I’ve been living reckless, aye,” Boogie raps. “I woke up loaded and got more faded for breakfast, aye.” Just like SBTRKT’s “Spaced Out,” these type of electronic features work well for Boogie. The song is taken from Cosmo Midnight’s debut album What Comes Next, which is out now featuring Buddy, Jay Prince, Tove Styrke and more.

Wale  recently stopped by The Breakfast Club for the first time since signing a deal with Warner Bros. Records. I also think that they’re very good at the job, but I think that they specialize is a specific demographic, or sub-genre if you will. I just think it’s time for me to get my own situation and make my own choices.” Wale also addresses J. Cole’s “False Prophets” record and why as friends, they didn’t have a conversation over the phone instead. “There weren’t no dissing involved,” he said. “Maybe for the shock — maybe he wanted to get it to me another way. Cole always tells me I don’t listen — I think sometimes he don’t listen, but that’s what makes it so close. It’s very raw and uncut.” He also talks about staying with Maybach Music Group, the music he’s making now, what bothers him about the industry

Now, she’s revealed that things aren’t looking so bad after all. “Thank you to the incredible team of doctors and vocal technicians that have taken time to see me over the last few weeks in every city,” she said. “I’m blessed to say my voice is not permanently damaged and I’ve been working daily to get back. Producer  Mike Zombie  made his mark in the rap game on the production tip, but he’s recently switched to be an artist himself and is now releasing a project to showcase more of those skills. Though he doesn’t have any big name features on 20GREATEEN, the likes of Chill Moody, Ant Beale, P. Wright, and Cloudy Nueve round out his mixtape. At the least, you’ll be put on to some new artists.

O.T. Genasis – Cash On It

The talk surrounding O.T. Genasis hit new levels when Beyoncé came out to a live rendition of his “Everybody Mad” single at Coachella. The on-stage routine has now gone from the historic Beychella stage to her On the Run 2 tour, so that’s a big look for O.T. this year. As more eyes are on him, he has countered with a new single titled “Cash On It” with a video to go along with it. He takes on post-apocalyptic theme for the clip, riding in the dune buggy’s with a couple of females, breaking out in dance moves in the middle of nowhere.

Microsoft Reportedly Readying ‘Xbox Scarlett’ Multi-Device Console for 2020

Last fall, Microsoft rolled out their Xbox One X console, which is three times as more powerful than the standard Xbox One and twice the power of a PlayStation 4. While the console hasn’t lived up to expectations on our end in its first year, they do have a few titles that are finally taking advantage of the console’s frame-rates later this year. However, before fans get their money’s worth on that system, Microsoft is reportedly gearing up for its next official major console. This week, a new Thurrott has surfaced, revealing that Microsoft is planning their next-generation next Xbox in 2020. The system is codenamed Scarlet, as the report also revealed that the system will feature multiple pieces of hardware. Microsoft is still waiting to make a formal announcement, but Xbox head Phil Spencer confirmed last Sunday at e3 that the company was deep in architecting the next Xbox consoles – plural, confirming this news is likely to happen. Considering Microsoft has no plans of switch

‘NBA Live 19’ Introduces New Dribble Crossover Combos

With EA Sports successfully rolling out NBA Live 18, the west coast team is readying their next basketball simulation title. Last week, EA presented LIVE 19 to the public, which featured drastic graphical overhauls for in-game fluidity. Luckily, gameplay is also getting several tune-ups this year, including a new dribbling system for deadly crossover. Through compiled media footage below, the game introduces a variety of double crossover and between the leg crossovers. However, those moves will be limited to just players like Kyrie Irving, Chris Paul, Jamal Crawford and maybe at times, Steph Curry for certain moves. Outside of those four, if you try with any other point-guard around the league, they’ll likely lose the rock and possibly even turn it over. Take a look at the clips below and let us know in the comments what you think.

Young Thug Announces ‘Slime Language’ Album

Earlier this year,  Young Thug  cited that he wouldn’t release music this year, until his brother’s hearing was restored. While it’s unclear on that situation’s current status, Thugga has been seen on guest appearances throughout the year. Well, thanks to his YSL Records, the imprint has revealed that Thugga is planning to release his  Slime Language . We’re assuming since the news became public directly from the music label; new content could be emerging in the coming weeks. Considering he’s also  set to hit the road with J. Cole for the KOD World Tour in August, a new project could arrive around that time . Let us know below if you’re ready for new Young Thug music. "SLIME LANGUAGE" by Young Thug on the way. Jay Rock on Confusion over “The Three J’s” Collaboration with JAY-Z & J. Cole

This weekend, TDE is celebrating  Jay Rock’s  new album,  Redemption . Last month, reports surfaced that  Rock had tapped JAY-Z for a collaborative track  on his then-upcoming project. Well, when the album released, many wondered what happened with the alleged track. Luckily, the TDE rapper directly clarified confusion regarding Jay – which was misinterpreted a few weeks ago. He broke down how he wanted to do a record entitled  “ The Three J’s ,”  also featuring  J. Cole . If S. Dot wasn’t available for the affair, he’d feel Jay Electronica is a suitable substitution on the cut. Surprisingly, he hasn’t ruled out the option for the future to pitch to those fellow emcees; which we’re sure the fans will remember the next time he’s ready to release his senior album. For now, we have Redemption to enjoy, as you can take a look at part of his conversation with Complex below. Let us know what you think of the idea from Watts Rock. Jay Rock speaks on alleged Jay-Z collaborati
